Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Slot Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines, with infrequent assistance; possesses knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of slot machine repair; provide training to floor personal.

• Responds to radio calls promptly and provide excellent customer service.

• Prepares games, and conducts functional testing.

• Troubleshoots gaming machines, ticketing system and slot accounting system; performs general maintenance tasks, and repairs to the gaming machines and related systems.

• Performs machine and component repairs.

• Terminates and connects machine and system wiring to include fiber and serial.

• Compiles and reports information regarding trends, problems to supervision.

• Assists the floor staff with any issues that may arise.

• Meets regularly with Lead Technician and Slot Performance Supervisor.

• Receives delegated duties and additional tasks.

• Suggests new ideas for an efficient and safe work environment.

• Completes department and company related documentation.

• Diagnoses and repairs mechanical and electronic slot machine malfunctions with minimal guidance or assistance.

• Replaces parts and which have caused malfunctions.

• May be given regular assignments as needed to increase overall department technical knowledge.

• Performs general and preventive maintenance slot machine inspection, machine moving and installation.

• Performs full slot machine programming and set-up as required.

• Attend and participate in meeting, completing follow-up as assigned.

• Perform work regularly and predictably.

• Deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.

• Routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.

• Present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.

• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

• Interpret and explain policies and procedures.

• Consistently communicate effectively with guests, as well as all levels of team members.

• Inspect and maintain areas for which responsible.

• Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.

• Use all machine test equipment.

• This position spends time on the casino floor and is subject to varying levels of crowds and noise, and the severity of which depends upon guest volume.

• Other duties as assigned.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Alerts the appropriate team members when there are technical problems with games/systems.

• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies .

• Suggests players in Caesars Rewards, Caesars Rewards App, Play by CR, and Caesars Rewards Visa.

• Suggests products, services and experiences to guests.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Must pass a drug test.

• Must be able to obtain a MGC Gaming permit.

• Must be able to follow pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Maintain knowledge of current property events, promotions and attractions.

• Must have outgoing personality and be able to generate business.

• Must be able to work independently, with little supervision.

• Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

• Superior communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently.

• Must present a well-groomed appearance.

• Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements.

• Computer skills including operating hardware, software, and other technical equipment.

• Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrah's Gulf Coast team members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

• Able to accept direction of Senior Leadership.

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:


  • Able to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job.
  • Available to work any shift, holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to tolerate cigarette/cigar smoke and e-cigarette vapor.
  • Ability to tolerate the smell and residue of cleaning products used in work and back of house areas.
  • Must have manual dexterity to be able to operate the following equipment: computer, telephone, photo copy machine, fax machine, printer.
  • Must be able to use and wear two-way radio w/ earpiece, and other equipment, as required.
  • Able to tolerate a loud and noisy environment.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Able to sit, stoop, reach and bend.
  • Able to man lift, pull, push and carry up to 100 pounds.
