Job Summary:

Responsible for successfully maintaining, and repairing, as needed, all equipment in the Hotel, Casino, Pool and Spa. Performs maintenance and repair functions on major systems; which includes diagnosing trouble shooting, repairing or replacing. Performs all regular preventive maintenance on all HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, kitchen equipment and boilers. Maintains inventory of supplies Ensures safe, efficient operation of all equipment relevant to boilers, chillers, pumps, life safety equipment, air handlers, and emergency generators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Must have minimal knowledge of plumbing, electrical and air conditioning maintenance. Occupationally significant combination of Vocational education, apprentice training, in-plant training and/or on-the-job training preferred. Below are examples of basic knowledge is included but not limited to the following.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintains all mechanical and cosmetic items in guest rooms and public areas.

• Monitors work load, and advises supervisor of work overload.

• Assists Engineers and Mechanics in repairs.

• Maintains a neat, clean, and organized work area in the Engineering Shop.

• Prepares daily work forms.

• Routinely inspects all lighting throughout the Hotel and Casino, identifying potential problems, and resolving same.

• Routinely inspection of Generators, Chillers, Cooling Towers, ERV's

• Responds to maintenance requests and house calls.

• Maintains pool facilities as assigned.

• Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.

• Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls of the company

• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

• Enforce Project 21 policy and procedures by monitoring area for underage gamblers.

• Suggests players in Caesars Rewards, Caesars Rewards App, Play by CR, and Caesars Rewards Visa.

• Suggests products, services and experiences to guests.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have minimal knowledge of plumbing, electrical and air conditioning maintenance. Occupationally significant combination of Vocational education, apprentice training, in-plant training and/or on-the-job training preferred.

• One to three years of prior general maintenance experience.

• Able to work in wet or Humid conditions

• Able to work in extreme cold or heat

• Able to work in outdoor weather conditions

• Able to work with electrical components

• Able to work with toxic or caustic chemicals

• Able to work in high precarious places

• Able to work in tight spaces

• Able to work in loud areas

• Minimal knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must pass a drug test.

• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must be willing to participate in on-going training in the facilities department

• Maintain knowledge of current property events, promotions and attractions.

• Must have outgoing personality and be able to generate business.

• Must be able to work independently, with little supervision.

• Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

• Superior communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently.

• Must present a well-groomed appearance.

• Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements.

• Computer skills including operating hardware, software, and other technical equipment.

• Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrah's Gulf Coast team members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

• Able to accept direction of Senior Leadership.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employee of organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively speak to groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operating using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only accasional or no variables.
  • Ability to work with heavy equipment, scissors lift, boom lift, forklift, pallet jacks,
  • Ability to work with power tools, hand tools, ladders and equipment to perform task assigned..
  • Able to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job.
  • Available to work any shift, holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to tolerate cigarette/cigar smoke and e-cigarette vapor.
  • Ability to tolerate the smell and residue of cleaning products used in work and back of house areas.
  • Responds to visual and aural cues.
  • Must have manual dexterity to be able to operate the following equipment: computer, telephone, photo copy machine, fax machine, ten key, embosser, printer and bar encoder.
  • Must be able to use and wear two-way radio w/ earpiece, and other equipment, as required.
