Rogers Corporation is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to provide electronic engineering and software programming for manufacturing process automation and test automation.

Essential Functions:

  1. Develop and maintain human-machine interface (HMI) software for manufacturing process automation and test automation.

  2. Develop and maintain programmable logic controller (PLC) software for manufacturing process control.

  3. Design electronic control circuitry; document designs and oversee wiring.

  4. Evaluate and specify electronic sensors for manufacturing process data acquisition; oversee sensor installation and startup.

  5. Assist with control system startup and commissioning.

  6. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Engineering Manager

Required Education and Experience:

  • BSEE or BSCS or equivalent

  • Demonstrated knowledge of motors, drives and PLCs

  • Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories

  • Ability to interpret and update electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

  • Experience with troubleshooting complex systems

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and time management skills;

  • Strong electromechanical aptitude;

  • Proficient with Allen Bradley PLC programing.

  • Proficient with Factory Talk View programing software

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD;

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, etc.);

  • Strong oral and written communication skills;

  • Collaborative team player with strong written and in-person communication skills;

  • In-depth knowledge of Safety standards (ANSI/RIA15.06, OSHA), NEC, NFPA 79 and 86 as it relates to production machinery.

  • Experience with industrial process sensors and controls

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  •  Working Knowledge with Aveva System Platform (Wonderware Intouch)

  • Working Knowledge with SQL Databases.

  • Working Knowledge of MES
