This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Collaborates with business and analytics leaders to generate insights and answer business questions by using analytics techniques such as advanced data visualization, statistical analysis, randomized testing, predictive modeling, forecasting, optimization, and/or machine learning. Proposes innovative ways to look at problems by using these approaches on available enterprise data as well as customer third-party data and information. Validates findings using experimental and iterative approaches. This level performs statistical analysis of moderately complex data from multiple sources. Requires minimal review of output. Has some interaction with Data Governance. Interacts with multiple departments within a unit. May lead to smaller projects, some of which may cross geographies.

Required Skills

• Works with data sets and performs appropriate analytical methodology to provide insights and decision modeling for the business.
• Creates and implements algorithms which manage the data to enable it to be analyzed in an efficient manner.
• Supports the communication of derived insights, especially through appropriate visualization techniques.
• Supports the identification of the required data sources and works with Data Wranglers and/or IT to implement methodologies to retrieve and use this data.
• Stays abreast of the latest appropriate analytical techniques and recommends these where needed. Explains implementation and usage in business terms.
• Applies analytical techniques to prospect for business insights and find patterns in data which could be valuable for the business.
• Supports business management in all matters concerning analytical techniques. Supports the business transformation of the enterprise through analytics.
• Works closely with data governance teams to ensure data is modeled efficiently in order to facilitate the required analytics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience utilizing machine learning
• Advanced understanding of statistics
• 1-2 years experience with Enterprise Data Lake
• Ability to connect and combine data sources to make new enhanced data sources
• Experience with Connected Support and Expert Alerts
• Experience with CCMS & Warranty analysis to closely monitor field issues
• Ability to work and collaborate with Product Support, Engineering, and Marketing to be their data expert
• John Deere product knowledge

Education

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, data analytics, or statistics is required.
