What Will Your Job Look Like?
The HR Business Partner administers People & Culture policies and programs, balancing employee advocacy and business operating needs. The HR Business Partner ensures a fair and consistent approach to MTM’s policies and procedures, in an effort to promote a positive culture within MTM. In addition to providing comprehensive HR guidance to MTM’s team members in the areas of performance management, conflict management, and leadership, the HR Business Partner collaborates with business leaders to fully understand business issues and how HR can best support achieving results through building relationships in various departments for organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Advise, guide and support leadership level staff in the areas of documentation, disciplinary action, policy administration, and improving employee morale
Use sound judgement around issues that may have adverse effects on the business from an employee relations perspective
Ensure leaders are in compliance with the completion of performance reviews, annual goals, and the administration of coaching and disciplinary documentation
Investigate employee misconduct and recommend appropriate action
Ensure company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the organization
Conduct monthly meetings with operational leadership teams
Investigate and gather documentation for EEO and Compliance Hotline complaints and resolve issues within required timelines
Serve as corporate liaison in unemployment hearings when requested
Remain current on federal, state and local employment laws and act proactively to recommend solutions to executive management and ensure updates to company HR policies
Serve as a corporate liaison to assist company-wide initiatives such as: retention, engagement, and culture
Process requests and documentation submitted via the organization’s Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
Maintain good communication and positive relationships with employees to promote employee satisfaction and ensure a positive working environment
Prepare reports for executive management as needed
Conduct presentations to management and executive staff as needed
Understand MTM’s business plan objectives and the impact of this role in growing our business

All you need is...
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years’ experience in HR/Employee Relations or similar role
Strong knowledge of human resources policies/procedures and knowledge of local, state, and federal employment/labor laws
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Must possess a valid driver’s license

Ability to manage a multi-state region of responsibility
Flexibility to travel both locally and out-of-state on an as needed basis
Ability to handle questions and resolve issues in a timely and constructive manner
