The LanguageLine Product and Technology team is charged with the responsibility of researching, defining, building, and implementing disruptive and industry-leading products and solutions. We employ a pragmatic buy/build/partner approach to the software, hardware, mobile and digital platforms that make up our suite of services.

LanguageLine Solutions has implemented Workday Human Capital Management Software and is looking for an experienced HCM Manager to ensure optimal utilization of this critical tool. This is a leadership position that will look across departments and Teleperformance sister companies to coordinate roadmap, strategy, and communication. This is a multi-faceted position that requires strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work across teams delivering results in a fast-paced environment, collaborating and influencing across a variety of organizational functions.

Essential Functions

The ideal candidate will work to bridge technology and business interests from within the technology department. As a Workday expert, the candidate will work with stakeholders to define the roadmap, strategy, testing, and data management. The candidate must be prepared to communicate with all areas of the company.

This candidate will possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy that includes a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. This candidate must be prepared to make decisions with imperfect information, possessing the ability to lead without authority and be comfortable managing ambiguity and complexity, driving decisions relevant to the Workday platform when called for. A deep technical understanding of the complexities and interconnectedness of the Workday modules is critical to ensuring not only the stability of the platform, but that we are also maximizing our investment.

This role requires a strategist who will translate the company's high-level human capital vision and goals into actionable tasks; building consensus to guide strategy, prioritize new features and enhancements. This role will own the coordinating, prioritizing and managing Workday test cycles.

Key Essential Functions:




  • Guide the company to develop a strategy and strategic thinking as well as identify risks concerning our Workday implementation




  • Serve as the Workday Subject Matter Expert (SME), own the LanguageLine Workday system roadmap




  • Support the business and mentor a team for world-class Human Capital Management (HCM) service




  • Serve as "front door" for enhancement and new feature requests




  • Responsible for helping team members think through challenges, providing stretch assignments and developmental opportunities




  • Work with internal teams to validate business requirements, and to recommend technical configurations as solutions




  • Drive and support Workday functionality including all LLS implemented modules: Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Absence, Time & Attendance, Learning, Compensation, Performance, and Succession Planning




  • Responsible for reviewing upcoming changes and releases and coordinating necessary testing




  • Serve as the central point of contact for Workday audit events




  • Lead data governance and data management discussion and activities with regard to Human Capital




  • Oversee and maintain inbound and outbound system integrations issue resolution




  • Research and identify the root causes for data problems such as system limitations or design, user error, integrations, or lack of standard procedures




  • Serve as "front door" for HR-related reports and user security requests and concerns




  • Support, Collaborate, and Consult with Corporate and other "sister" Business Units with best practices on Workday and HCM implementations, system and support goals


Additional Functions




  • Provide product expertise on company initiatives and other projects/tasks




  • Develop in-depth knowledge of LanguageLine cloud-based systems




  • Serve as a bridge between business and technology for assigned technology platforms




  • Perform such duties and assume other responsibilities as may be required


Qualifications

Required Qualifications




  • 5 years of general HR experience




  • 3 years of Workday experience across a variety of modules




  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent business experience




  • Experience in participating in a minimum of 1 end to end Workday implementation




  • Experience leading or working as part of an interdependent team supporting an enterprise HR application




  • Demonstrated focus on the user experience while within the HR system.




  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships throughout and beyond Human Resources and influence partners where appropriate




  • Ability to engage and develop partners and primary system users to enable them to understand complex and technical concepts




  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues through Workday reporting and configuration




  • Strong oral, written, analytic, and presentation skills




  • Ability to leverage technology and tools to communicate, track, document, and analyze the utilization of HR systems




  • Ability to influence, develop, and coach team members


Preferred Qualifications




  • Master's Degree from an accredited college/university




  • Technical aptitude and an interest in acquiring technical skill sets such as Workday configuration capability




  • Experience with Pragmatic Product Development Methodology and Jobs to be Done (JTBD) Framework
