Job Summary:

Koch Foods is hiring for General Labor positions for 1st and 2nd shift. General Laborers are responsible for processing chicken products on the production line and work throughout different stages of the production process.

1st shift starts between 7:00 am and 8:15 am with a starting pay rate of $12.50/hour

2nd shift starts between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm with a starting pay rate of $13.50/hour

We are a multi-temperature facility that runs 7 days per week.  Must be available to work weekends. General labor positions receive one 15 minute break and one 30 minute meal break.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work in a stationary position standing sorting product for defects, standing at the conveyor inspecting bagged product for proper seals and tears, placing product into item-specific cartons and/or boxes, stacking boxed product onto a pallet following item-specific pattern.


• Work in a stationary position standing on a production line inspecting product for defects and positioning product per item specific requirements. 


• You may, and often will be, asked to work in several different areas during your shift.


• Work in a fast paced, repetitive motion production area with chicken. 


• Maintain satisfactory attendance and job performance in accordance with Company policies and procedures.


• All other duties as needed. 

Job Requirements:

• No prior manufacturing experience necessary.


• Must be 18 years or older.


• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Physical & Environmental Factors:

• Cold, damp, wet environment with temperatures ranging from 30 to 90+ degrees.


• Stand/walk 100% of work day.


• Exposure to noise levels greater than 85 decibels.


• Bend, stoop, and lift various weights as needed.


• Climb stairs, frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend.


• Exposure to strong, raw and foul odors.


• Bending, twisting, stacking, pushing and standing for long periods of time.


• Manual dexterity of hands and wrists.
