Job Title – Azure/ETL Architect

Location – Long Beach, CA (remote till post covid)

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Serve as lead in designing and developing ETL (MSBI) code for efficient and scalable data transformations in the Enterprise Data Warehouse 


• Extend and maintain the EDW/Mart data layers – Type II SCD dimensions and facts


• Work closely team members such as Data Analysts, QA and other ETL engineers to develop and release new capabilities as well as research technical requirements and resolve issues


• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with data migration and transformation using MSSQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS


• Ensure the quality, completeness, security, privacy, and integrity of data 


• Implement code changes and follow CICD processes including code check in, code reviews, JIRA updates and releases


• Source control experience preferably TEAMS Foundation Server (TFS) / Azure DevOps


• Leverages industry best practices data transformation and processing techniques, tools and coding languages, data models

Required Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science 


• 7 to 10 Years work experience in the IT industry within a large technology team


• 5+years’ experience with MSBI coding


• Experience in EDW design principles such as: requirements analysis, data mapping, transformations, SCD Type II, Star Schema.


• Strong knowledge on MS Power BI tool along with profound knowledge on query writing


• Strong systems skills especially in implementation, maintenance, enhancement and documentation


• Proficiency in various office applications including Excel VBA  Macros, Word,  PowerPoint


• Provide Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing solutions and support by leveraging project standards and leading analytics platform. 


•  Evaluate and define functional requirements for BI and DW solutions


• Build conceptual and logical models based on the functional flow of business in a scalable mode. 


•  Work directly with Business leadership and Application SMEs to understand the requirement and analyzing the source to fulfill the requirement.


• Good understanding of Data warehouse and Data Lake


• Must be organized, detail oriented and able to efficiently function under pressure and be able develop and present analysis and recommendations in a clear concise manner to various staff levels in the organization
