Job Description:



Support Plant HR strategy through partnership with business and operations leadership, adherence to corporate HR policies and procedures, and dedication to flawless execution, professionalism, and overall performance excellence. Responsible for coordination of activities, directly or indirectly, such as, talent acquisition, staffing management and planning, compensation plans, talent management, positive employee relations strategies, and other duties in support of overall human resource excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide human resources leadership to Site Manager and staff to ensure talent development in support of overall plant and corporate HR initiatives

• Lead and develop HR Team along with departmental goals to identify and track key measurables

• Ensures that all phases of corporate and legal compliance reporting mechanisms (i.e., Affirmative Action Plan, corporate policy requirements, ADA, FMLA) are strictly adhered to and completed in a timely and complete manner

• Supports local diversity initiatives

• Drive employee engagement and continuous improvement activities within the site

• Lead Positive Employee Relations strategy

• Administers local hourly wage and benefit programs, including annual wage survey

• Leads local salaried compensation process for annual merit and performance incentive programs

• Initiates, instructs, and oversees the yearly development of key job elements for facility’s hourly group as well as annual hourly performance evaluation process

• Works with HR Team to manage and execute hourly talent acquisition process for location

• Assess overall hourly training needs of plant and generate creative and effective training solutions with the help of corporate and external resources

• Partner with corporate communications and site manager on community relations and support of corporate and local charitable contributions

• Partner with local leadership to ensure a safety first mentality of all employees



• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university strongly preferred; master’s degree preferred

• 8-10 years of related HR experience working in manufacturing environment, strongly preferred

• Technical knowledge of employment laws, federal and state regulations

• PeopleSoft and Kronos knowledge strongly preferred

• Demonstrates strong knowledge and experience in talent management and employee development

• Experience in developing and executing HR strategies as it pertains to employee relations

• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization verbally, written, and through formal presentations

• PHR or SPHR desired

• Travel - minimal
