What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?

Regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of the Water Distribution Facilities (wells, pump, motors, etc.).as directed by the Project Manager. Participates in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays and outside normal workday hours. Will be required to respond to emergency or unpredictable situations. This does include shift work.

Essential Functions:

• Operates and maintains Water Distribution Facilities including telemetry controls, motors, pumps, process and data collection equipment.


• Monitors and controls water treatment system.


• Performs minor and major repair and maintenance to facilities and equipment.


• Monitors plant operations to ensure adherence to all State and Federal regulations.


• Collects and analyzes samples from distribution system.


• Calculates data and enters into computerized record system on a daily basis.


• Responds to emergency situations as required or in accordance with emergency operations plan.


• Maintains and keeps current State operator’s and Distribution license.


• Maintains stock of chemicals used.


• Performs all work in compliance with established safety standards.

What will you need to succeed?

• Missouri Water Distribution Facilities operator’s and Distribution license preferred.


• A valid Missouri motor vehicle operator's license.


• Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation' and maintenance of Water Distribution Facilities.


• Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in water treatment and distribution work.


• Knowledge of computer applications.


• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
