POSITION SUMMARY:

The Technical Project Manager coordinates and manages technical projects to ensure they complete on time, within budget, and within scope. Oversees all aspects of projects, facilitating discovery work, the development of requirements, setting timelines, driving project work, and communicating project progress to key stakeholders on a regular basis. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining project documentation for technical projects, including documentation of requirements, project charters, business process rules, project sign-offs, risk tracking, roles and responsibility documentation, mockups or wireframes, and change control processes.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Technology Project Management
•Analyze, develop, and maintain project technical requirements and project timelines with cross-divisional resources
•Assign and oversee project tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all resources are actively working towards established priorities on a daily basis
•Develop and monitor project success criteria, communicating with stakeholders at key intervals
•Create and maintain comprehensive project-related documentation
•Collaborate with organization stakeholders to implement standardized project management processes and tools
•Schedule and lead discussions to drive project progress

Business Analysis
•Responsible for technical documentation of system design, data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables
•Facilitate design and discovery sessions with the project team to develop web, software and database solutions
•Identify and understand needs of multiple cross-team business stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
•Associate of Arts/Vocational/Technical Degree in information systems, business or related field is required
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
•PMP certification or similar training in project management is preferred.
•Equivalent combination of additional experience beyond the minimum requirement and/or education may be substituted for degree requirement

Experience:
•Minimum 3 years of experience managing projects, creating business and project documentation, and communicating project status to stakeholders is required
•Experience planning and managing technical projects for web software development, database development, and digital content is preferred
•Experience writing or facilitating the creation of complex, technical documentation is preferred
•Experience working with technical & business teams to create web software and database systems, develop solutions and troubleshoot issues is preferred
•Experience participating in the implementation of enterprise-level customer relationship manager (CRM) software or financial systems is preferred

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•Demonstrated project management skills is required
•Familiarity with project management and planning software is required
•Familiarity with Microsoft Visio is required
•Ability to communicate complex ideas in a concise manner is required
•Familiarity with Workfront project management software is preferred
•Ability to effectively work with diverse styles and maintain effective work relationships

Schedule: Rarely beyond standard work schedule required
Physical Requirements: Standard office setting, with ability to sit for long periods of time, occasional use of stairs; regular use of computer and office equipment, lifting up to 40 lbs.
