J.P. Morgan Custody provides Institutional investors access to markets worldwide for the settlement, safekeeping and asset servicing of securities, along with ancillary services such as Foreign Exchange and Liquidity Solutions. The Custody Middle Office Department is responsible for ensuring all aspects of operations for clients are completed, transactions are processed on time, exceptions are resolved proactively; provide single point of contact team and subject matter expertise to the clients. Middle Office covers trade instruction capture, settlement; fail management, cash instruction capture, projections, overdrafts, asset servicing instruction capture, dividends, foreign exchange, collateral, derivatives lifecycle management and bank loans.

Key Responsibilities Include:


  • Collaborate with various internal teams such as trade & cash processing, settlements, cash management, account opening, and asset servicing operations for transactional life cycle events.

• Perform root cause examination for respective clients to increase STP and process improvements.

  • Participate and support international teams performing follow the sun coverage for global clients.

• Support business units in the execution of user acceptance test plans for successful production technology releases.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to help identify internal and external technology improvement opportunities.


  • Execution of Service Level Agreements and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and value added services to clients where required.
  • Develop strategic client partnerships and evolve these relationships through Business process enhancement and innovative ideas.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Global Custody or Prime Brokerage is a plus
  • Knowledge of financial markets, trade lifecycle, and settlement practices is desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and adept at communicating with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Operate in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines, and exhibit time management skills.
  • Collaborative, inclusive, communicative and transparent. Preferably a strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail.
  • Investigative and problem solving skills including taking the initiative to drive change and enhance controls.
  • Ability to manage through a changing business landscape, anticipating issues and driving initiatives to ensure results.
  • MS office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
