In accordance with established policies and procedures, receives and pays out money, keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions by performing the following duties. These duties may vary from branch to branch.
Essential Functions
Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements
Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances
Enters customers’ transactions into teller machine to record transactions and issues teller machine generated receipts
Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds in accordance with Reg CC
Orders daily supply of cash, and counts incoming cash
Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer with actual cash count once a week in Teller Insight
Balance the cash recycler under dual control.
Crash balances Teller Insight 4 days a week
Explains, promotes, sells, or prepares products or services such as savings bonds, money orders, and cashier’s checks
Processes mail deposits under dual control
Accepts loan payments and processes loan disbursement checks as needed
Balances coin machine
Accepts wire transfers
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

This individual must be willing to be flexible and work where assigned when needed. The employee must be available to regularly work early and occasionally work late.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma/GED
Cash handling experience preferred
Working Conditions
Requires hand to finger and reaching with hands and arms
Cannot be color blind because of the need to distinguish the authenticity of currency
Requires corrected hearing in normal range of effective communication
Must be able to speak English
May be required to either sit or stand for long periods of time
May frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
Exposure to a potentially hazardous condition – robbery. Receives detailed instructions and procedures to be followed to minimize the risk
