The primary function of this position is to identify complete received SKUs on the receiving lanes and remove to reduce congestion. Remove less than full pallets of cases for quality and mixed case pallets and take to the appropriate location. Assure the receiving belts are empty at end of shift. Assist Specialist keeping hospital lane free of cases, entering bi-hourly production rates and reporting all down time to the Supervisor. Serves as a backup specialist in their absence.
Responsibilities
Locate requested case shortages as requested by Traffic Coordinators and move to staging area to locate.
Expedite completion of rush/priority receipts, and take to staging area to locate in racks.
Having detailed knowledge of PKMS WM system, using RF gun and thermal transfer printer.
Apply lean principles and techniques effectively. Run queries to determine case shortages, run WMS shortage reports.
Follow prioritized needs for distribution and warehouse full case needs.
Coordinate salvage, wet/damaged inbound cases and assist with preparation of claims.
Reprint cases labels, research aging/limbo cases, and maintain inventory accuracy of broken stock as required by inventory control and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and specialist.
Qualifications
Moderate lifting of packages (up to 40 lbs.)
Reading and writing literate
Working knowledge of computers
Knowledge of PKMS WM System, RF gun and thermal transfer printer
Able to prioritize and address multiple tasks from multiple sources under pressure to meet strict deadlines
Able to work well independently and with sense of urgency
