Business Process Services is a rapidly growing practice within Cognizant with a focus on providing transformative services in Clinical, Safety, regulatory, commercial and corporate services (e.g., F&A) for the Life Sciences customers

We have exciting opportunities for an Onshore Transition Manager to Healthcare, BFS and Insurance customer across F&A, Insurance and Healthcare processes.  This role involves partnering with US & global clients and acting as a trusted advisor to them while collaborating with the offshore team to make sure we provide the best-in-class Transition processes & solutions. A Transition Manager should be able to lead projects and work with multiple stakeholders/ functions like HR, Finance & Operations and ensure the transitions receive adequate support from each function. The ability to work in a dynamic & fast pace environment is a vital aspect of this role.

 

The role:

Transitions Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end Transition. Transition Manager should be able to lead the pre and post contract due diligence. Transition Managers should be able to work with the delivery leaders and various support functions from onshore/offshore teams in coordinating and leading all activities related to the Transitions portfolio. The candidate needs to be a strong leader, extremely proactive in thinking ahead, planning and working with various stakeholders in identifying, escalating and mitigating the project risks. This role involves collaborating with regional & global clients and acting as a trusted advisor during the transition phase.  The role will involve leveraging technical, project management and strategic skills when front-ending with clients to represent Cognizant’s transition solutions. Even though the position is in the US the ability to work in a dynamic & global environment is a vital aspect of this role.  This role will be reporting into the NA Transition lead.

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate and validate in the development and completion of transition plans analysis

  • Develop and facilitate Communication Plans for onsite transition teams and CTS leadership

  • Gain consensus on baseline performance with  key stakeholders

  • Updates executives weekly on progress of each work stream

  • Hold crucial conversations with team members and customer to ensure engagement success

  • Facilitate the identification of process inefficiencies via root cause analysis during the transition execution

  • Elevates issues and barriers to transition head & leadership and region as needed

  • Validate the established goals for targeted work streams

  • Certify each action plan and drive to successful implementation in guidance of transition teams

    based on the transition plans

  • Assists in the execution of the transition tollgate of targeted process through our transition methodology

  • Assist in the identification of additional improvement opportunities

  • Monitors transition and financial metrics, deliverables and adjusts solutions to de-risk any issues to operations

  • Create project plans and transition solutions adhere to Cognizant transition deliverables

  • Display attention to detail, accuracy of work, sense of responsibility toward work and ability to accomplish projects and tasks in a timely manner

  • Mobilize the transition project teams across service delivery, operations and enabling functions

  • Build relations with internal/external stakeholders and understand clients’ needs & business contingencies  to propose alternative solutions

  •  Perform any other job related instructions as requested

































Educational Background



Mandatory



Graduate in any discipline

PMP certification   Six Sigma Green Belt trained



Preferred



Post-Graduation in any discipline, Black Belt Certified



Domain Knowledge



Mandatory



Transition Management experience. Should have done large end-to-end transitions from Solution design to steady state / handover to operations. Should have leaded multiple transitions simultaneously. Should have people management experience and should be able to lead a cross functional team.



Preferred



Healthcare domain experience or experience of having worked with a healthcare BPO or health insurance company or any Insurance Company. For Insurance (Insurance domain experience) For BFS (Banking and F&A experience) Process Re-engineering is highly desirable. Prior experience in Solution Design, is highly desirable.



Work Experience (min-max)



4 to 8 years of overall experience of which at least 2-4 years as Full-time Transition Manager in a BPO environment.  Prior experience / exposure of at least 2 years each in managing at least three of the following areas is highly desirable: Experience in managing Operations in their domain, Process Re-engineering, Solution Design, Delivery role and understating of IT infrastructure.



Soft Skills expected



Has to be proactive with an eye for detail. Should be assertive and have strong communication skills (oral and written) and maturity to understand the dynamics of the organization and work with senior stakeholders on the client side as well as those internal to CTS. Should be able to work with and drive people to execute on tasks that are critical for Transition success without having a direct reporting relationship. Should be able to lead a team be self-driven and manage a customer relation



Shift timing



Flexible with significant overlap with the clients’ time zone. Currently, all the clients are US based.
