Kendal~Crosslands Communities, a Life Plan Community located in Kennett Square, PA has a FT opportunity for a Kitchen Production Manager position at our Crosslands location.  The hours for this position is below:

-10am - 7pm.

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, 45-55 hours per week.  This position also requires working some weekends and holidays. 

Essential Function:  Maintains Culinary Service operations by coordinating production, purchasing and inventory controls.  Monitors food costs and accounts for variances in the key areas of food, janitorial and paper expenses.  Coordinating departmental sanitation program.  Assisting in the development and maintenance of a quality catering program.  Handling all responsibilities in a professional manner.   Maintaining positive Resident relations and high degree of satisfaction with Residents, guests and staff.

Qualifications & Experience:  Must be able to work as an integral part of the culinary services management team with the ability to develop and maintain rapport with supervisor, staff members, administration and Residents.  Must be able to work under pressure and be innovative and willing to take initiative.  Must be neat, clean and well groomed.  Professional appearance required.  Must have the ability to plan and organize.  Must have 5 or more years of Culinary Service experience.  Must be able to follow and give written and oral instructions, and otherwise communicate and receive communications orally and in writing.  Must be able to extend recipes.  Must already possess, or test for ServSafe Certification within 90 days of hire.  A degree in Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts is preferred but not mandatory in lieu of solid culinary experience.  Knowledge of various computer applications is required.
