Job Summary:
The Analyst will work to enable the success of the US commercial teams by informing better decision-making. The incumbent will develop and socialize analysis in areas such as customer targeting, program metric development and measurement, revenue forecasting, marketing investment allocation and effectiveness, rebate and free goods ROI, market data management and analysis and the modeling of a long range strategic planning inputs. These collectively should shape strategic thinking, leading to tangible P&L impacts and contribute to increased transparency, accountability, efficiency, and control in supporting the commercial decision-making process, program execution and development of business intelligence. Translating these insights, gathered from disparate data sources, into user-friendly dashboards will be a critical output of the role.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
General Tasks
Builds a deep knowledge of the contact lens category and CVI’s US business, through the analysis of available data, to shape the development and execution of commercial imperatives.
Serves as primary interface for inbound data requests that support long range strategic planning, annual brand planning and reporting around ongoing marketing initiatives related to the Contact Lens category.
Works cross-functionally to facilitate the integration of data from various sources (Baan, Tableau, Salesforce.com, Marketing Cloud, vendor data, etc.) to better enable data sharing and analysis.
Champions the creation, maintenance, and socialization of data visualization dashboards for the Sales and Marketing team.
Collaborates with the Sales and Marketing Leadership to support their teams in all aspects of analysis, report development, KPIs/dashboards and Business Intelligence from a revenue, customer, pricing, program performance and margin/ profitability perspective
Attends and presents, as required, at marketing, sales, and commercial leadership meetings.
Brand/Customer Marketing support:
Analyzes Contact Lens category dynamics, channel, and customer strategies and CVI sales into those channels and customers, in partnership with Finance partners, to inform key channel and customer strategies, definition and reporting of success metrics and key customer program assessment.
Informs the creation of targeting list for brand and customer marketing-driven programs.
Creates dashboards that show performance vs. objectives and associated ROI for key brand/customer marketing programs(e.g., channel/product based promotions, , customer dinners, etc.), and provides recommendations to enhance current program performance and inform new program design.
Tracks fit set performance by channel, customer, region, and sales rep to inform better management of these in-field assets and drive adoption of CVI focus products.
Partners with Finance, global marketing, and brand team to increase brand forecast performance.
Supports projects and initiatives as assigned.
Marketing Communications support:
Informs, measures and reports success metrics to inform marcom program and campaign assessment, and attribution/ROI.
Provides insights to help marcom increase the quality and quantity of email addresses and database integrity
Partners with vendors (Marketing Cloud, Showpad) to develop, report and social analytics to optimize usage strategies and demonstrate attribution/ROI.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Solid knowledge and direct experience using business intelligence reporting tools (Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, SSAS Cubes, etc.)
Superior Excel (macros, pivots, lookups, sum if, complex link files) & PowerPoint design tools and presentation/chart applications skills
Experience using Salesforce.com (or other similar CRM tool) to establish reporting and extract insights that will enable sales managers and marketing to make actionable decisions.
Verbal and written English language skills appropriate for management level communication
Presentation skills, including ability to succinctly summarize key findings and effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
Logical and organized with the ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines both working autonomously and within a team
Ability to balance and prioritize multiple conflicting requirements
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently at all levels of the organization, create interdepartmental links based on different projects with a respective level of integrity
Accuracy and attention to detail
Work Environment:
Office-based, with some travel to other CVI locations, customer sites and industry events.
Sedentary to light physical effort necessary to perform the job.
There will be extended periods of sitting and using a computer.
Minimal domestic travel, approximately 5-10%.
Experience:
3-5 years’ experience in commercial and/or marketing analytics.
Experience with marketing automation platforms (Salesforce.com Marketing Cloud), enterprise databases (Tableau, COGNOS, etc.) and statistical software.
Experience in data mining (SQL, ETL, data warehouse, etc.) and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets, a plus.
Experience in the vision care category or a similar B2B2C environment would be a plus.
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in related field (business/management/economics/marketing) and demonstrable professional experience in data analytics and financial analysis.
