We are seeking a Managing Director and Global Leader for our Data Insight (DI) Practice. This role will report to the Global Leader for our GRID business unit and be a new service offering by Duff & Phelps.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Build and lead a new global service line within GRID. This new service line will enhance the capabilities, competitiveness, and profitability of all existing GRID practices by employing cutting edge technologies to help clients manage risk through the strategic use of data.

  • Focus on three core markets that include: Compliance - helping financial institutions and corporate clients manage their compliance risk through the more strategic use of data; Investigations - making the Business Intelligence & Investigations service line the most tech-enabled and efficient investigations practice in the business; and litigation - helping clients manage litigation risk through the strategic management and use of data

  • Develop a short, medium, and long-term business plan for the DI practice with the goal of making Kroll/D&P the most advanced, efficient, and tech-enabled consulting firm in our space

  • Assess and consolidate (if appropriate) current GRID analytic resources

  • Recruit top-flight professionals to expand the collective analytic skill-set and allow for scalability

  • Create a plan to leverage resources in other parts of GRID and elsewhere within the D&P universe

  • Build productive, collaborative relationships with other practice leaders

  • Work effectively as part of multi-disciplinary teams to both win and execute large-scale engagements.

  • Manage client relationships; identify and develop opportunities to enhance relationships with existing clients/contacts and new potential business

  • Deliver presentations to potential clients and, if required, prosecutorial agencies and regulators.

  • Leverage his/her own network to generate revenue for D&P/Kroll , DI, and its sister practices; and build a solid business development engine within DI

  • Source potential acquisition targets, especially in the technology space

  • Engage in constant innovation to keep Kroll/D&P at the cutting edge


REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with solid career progression, including at least 10 years conducting data analytics in a private sector consulting firm.

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Contacts and strong reputation in the private sector and the ability to leverage contacts and drive new business.

  • Proven leadership ability.

  • Hands-on professional with ability to assemble and lead multidisciplinary teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and communicate areas in which additional or other services may be beneficial to clients.

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency and ability to maximize applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Ability to travel, as needed.
