The CCB ADE organization is responsible for building the strategic, analytic Data Ecosystem for Consumer and Community Banking (CCB). Within the Data Ecosystem we manage the strategic data platforms, including the Data Lake and Analytical Data Platform. We also provide direction for large data warehouses across the firm.

As a Big Data Engineer Lead you will be responsible for tactical and strategic level activities associated with supporting CCB Analytical Data platform. Your mission is to help drive the strategy for Analytical Data Platform into private or public cloud. You'll collaborate with internal teams and business leaders alike, creating strategically sound Target State Solutions. Your deep knowledge of design, analytics, development will help drive Analytical Data Platform to next level by satisfying both business and functional requirements. Your expertise in various technology domains will be counted on to set strategic direction and solve complex and mission critical problems, internally and externally. And best of all, your work will have tremendous and positive impact, whether it's in-house, in collaboration with technologists across JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s global technology community or in partnership with some of the most important tech firms in the world.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:


  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience architecting, supporting and implementing advanced, strategic database management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to drive Agile development and implement automated process to improve database system reliability
  • Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure, with a background in systems and network administration
  • Strong development skills in a dynamic programming language such as Python, Javascript, .NET, Perl, SQL, TSQL
  • Proficiency in multiple business disciplines and functions and knowledge about the firm's strategic direction
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results and provide good customer experience
  • 10+ years of expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Solid experience working in Big Data/Cloud Environment
  • Extensive background in designing and implementing large scale systems
  • Good experience with Cloud development stacks like OpenStack, CloudStack, VCloud, AWS, EMR, EC2 for Hybrid Configurations and Managed Cloud Considerations
  • Experience in risk and risk control compliance
  • Experience with horizontally scalable and highly available system design and implementation, with focus on performance and resiliency
  • Experience in profiling, debugging data on complex distributed systems
  • Experience in Development/Operational experience in a multi-platform, multi-location, 7x24x365 global environment
  • Experience of working with cross-geographic, cross-functional, and cross-lob teams
  • Knowledge of best practice in change, problem, incident, configuration and system health management
