Position Summary:
The lead technician will s upport the Director of Pharmacy and supervising Pharmacists by guiding daily pharmacy technician operations.

Hours:
The position is a full-time rotation. At least 2 night shifts a week and 2 weekend shift a month. (Day shift is 6:30a-3p, Evening shift 1:30p-11p. Weekends are TBD)
The Ideal Candidate:
Nationally Certified (CPhT) or State Registered

Responsibilities: Responsibilities
Support daily pharmacy technician operations for the LTC pharmacy
Ensure other pharmacy technicians have the resources and training necessary to perform their jobs effectively
Filling prescriptions and preparing them for distribution
USP Chapter compliance responsibilities include evaluation of guideline compliance at the local level and education of other technicians when procedures change
Some Inventory control to include daily ordering, monitoring for drug shortages, drug recall audits and expiration transfer of drugs
Other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Director
Qualifications:
Minimum of 18 years of age required; HS diploma or equivalent preferred
Certification is a MUST either Nationally or for the state of Massachusetts
Employment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individuals
Familiarity with pharmacy terminology through certificate course or comparable experience in a Pharmacy work setting preferred
