Job Description: Your new company Our client is one of Houston's leading civil contractors. They specialize in siteworks and utilities projects for residential, commercial and government sectors. They self-perform all of their work and work on projects ranging from $1Mill up to $30Mill. They have a fantastic reputation in the market and currently have a solid pipeline of projects for the next years. Due to an increased work load and the company growing they are now looking to add an estimator to the team
Your new role You will be solely responsible for preparing estimates and bids for projects. Your day to day duties will consist of preparing construction budgets, gathering quotes from vendors and sub-contractors, negotiating pricing, resolving cost discrepancies and setting your daily priorities for your work schedule. You will be required to analyze information, develop budgets and make tough decisions, and work in a team throughout the bidding process.
