Job Description:

Global Liquidity Middle Office Associate

The position is to support the Global Liquidity/Managed Reserve Desk within JPMorgan Asset Management in New York. The main responsibility is daily support of providing accurate cash availability for investment and confirming/settling the various fixed income trades executed in addition to assigned project work. The candidate will be asked to build relationships and work with senior business members in an effort to develop efficiencies, lead projects, reduce risk, implement change, and provide overall day to day support to investment desks. The candidate is expected to become subject matter expert and will be involved in supporting technology initiatives, process enhancements and multiple other change initiatives.

Qualifications

Key Skills and Experiences:


  • Ability to balance, plan, and prioritize production and project management responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Experience and knowledge with Short Term Fixed Income Securities and how these securities settle.
  • Work with little or no oversight.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) and be detail oriented.
  • Experience with issue resolution, root cause analysis.
  • Able to research and resolve issues in a timely manner - able to anticipate a problem and solve before they develop.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build an excellent network and develop strong working relationships with both internal/external contacts.
  • Being able to thrive and handle the pressures of meeting strict daily deadlines without losing focus. Shows an outstanding ability to manage her/his own stress, demonstrates calm in stressful situations.
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring - shows exceptional Teamwork, drives others to exceed goals, performs team-assigned work on time and effectively, assists members on Team to improve productivity.
  • Proven ability to mitigate risk through process automation and/or developing controls, views control as a means for improving processes, takes actions to prevent problems early in process.
  • Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or Business Management preferred.
