The Impact You'll Make

We are seeking a Care Coordinator for the tele-psychiatry practice line. Ideal candidate would be someone who can work remote and independently to support our Tele Psychiatry Practice Line. The Tele Psychiatry practice is very busy and runs 24 hours daily, seven days a week. If you have prior hospital or medical office experience, are resourceful, organized and have a can-do attitude, we have the job for you!

This job is vital to the success of our client's practice and demands flexibility, a customer-focus, organization and a knack for details.

Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:

What You Will Bring


  • Handle a high volume of patient intake calls from provider or registered nurse to schedule psychiatric consults.
  • Follow the process within the escalation guide to prioritize consults based on shifting needs and resources.
  • Work with on-call providers, such as physicians, to help triage their requests. This includes helping to facilitate delays, prioritize/reschedule patients in case of consult overload in collaboration with the physician.
  • Ensures each physician is allocated their proper workload and assists with scheduling patients with providers.
  • Ensures secure documentation is sent to appropriate providers who are accepting/denying information.
  • Act as the first point of contact to provide customer service for contract sites. May address notification of delays, missing documentation, triage site questions and/or concerns, escalate to managers as appropriate.
  • Document all medication requests, transfer requests, consult requests, doctor-to-doctor encounters into the tracking database.
  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all issues or concerns and takes prompt corrective action where necessary.
  • Independently troubleshoot minor technical difficulties and escalate to technical staff when appropriate.
  • Transcribing patient information that is being verbally received by the contract site medical provider

Required Experience and Competencies:


  • Two to three years of experience in an office or healthcare setting.
  • This role will hire 4 Per Diem employees. Only required to work 3-4 shifts per month. Availability varies.
  • Shift Time: 3pm-11:30pm CST/9pm-5:30am PST

Preferred Talent Assets:


  • Experience working in the healthcare field or in a call center, preferred.
  • Excellent customer service. Not afraid to resolve issues on your own while making the client happy!
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Word. Basic in Excel.
  • Resilient, able to multi-task while working in a high call volume setting.
  • Minimum Degree: High School graduate.
