Maintenance Assistant at NHC HealthCare Lexington 

NHC Healthcare Lexington, located at 2993 Sunset Blvd. in West Columbia, SC is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

The qualified applicant for this position must be able to stand, walk inside & outside in all weather; be able to stoop, kneel, bend, and climb depending on job; be able to do heavy lifting and moving; and is subject to emergency calls.  Duties include:

• inspecting equipment and systems 


• to care, maintain and repair facility property, grounds and equipment


• maintenance of grounds


• performing heavy custodial duties


• performing other duties as assigned


• rotating on call weekends

 Requirements:
- Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals, have knowledge of local codes and ordinances, and knowledge of safety regulations
- Must be able to plan and carry out programs in repair or new construction and/ or installation
- Must have knowledge of supplies and equipment used by the department and the care of the equipment
