This is your opportunity to join Agilent in Process/Production team, setting up and operating basic fabrication processes and fabricating assemblies and Agilent products. You'll also monitor quality and collect data for each production operation.



Assembler is expected to complete all work with a high level of workmanship and quality and maintain a neat and orderly work area. They will perform all activities in a safe manner and utilize personal protective equipment as needed. Must be a team player with good communication skills and flexibility in accomplishing tasks. Responsible for maintaining timely accurate records and logs. Manufacturing management expects that Assemblers recommend improvements and consistently strive for efficient and effective methodologies. Assemblers must demonstrate an effective workmanship style that includes listening and soliciting input from others. All personnel must maintain a professional outlook and manner while at work.


Responsibilities:



  • Perform assembly and inspection processes.

  • Collect and report data as required by Quality and ISO standards.

  • Maintain shop supplies and floor stock.

  • Maintain / replenish tools and equipment used in product processes.

  • Frequently lift and move units up to 40 lbs in weight to 5-foot high levels.

  • Perform product tests,

  • Perform material transactions,

  • Learn and support new product introductions,

  • Support activities within the work cell and assembly area with positive and effective results.

  • Understand and implement Lean Manufacturing.

  • Effectively train new employees in all aspects of the manufacturing process and job requirements.

  • Inspect build quality and test data prior to finished good leaving the work area.

Qualifications

  • Associates (AA) degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of education & experience

  • Proven computer applications knowledge in Windows, XL, and Word.

  • High school level math skills.

  • Team skills such as conflict management, continuous improvement.

  • Extensive BioTek product functionality knowledge and/ or minimum of 5 years demonstrated applicable technical & trouble shooting capability

  • Lean Manufacturing implementation experience.

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds at the waist.
