Provide technical support, marketing assistance & project management in the design and integration of Kollmorgen products into customer applications. Cross-functional project management in support of customer requests for information, quotes and proposals. May prepare and present demonstrations and applications of company product. Candidate may provide training and follow-up technical support for customers and distributors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Instrumental in fulfilling customer's motion control needs by providing technical and commercial support to guide the selection of Kollmorgen products
Develops and coordinates Kollmorgen response to customer requests for quote, specification compliance and other technical support needs
Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations & Quality organizations to provides technical and commercial support of key customers
Works with Field Sales, Engineering and Operations to achieve growth objectives by transitioning new key accounts into long term dedicated customers
Coordinate and manage visits, trainings and technical support between customer and Kollmorgen as needed. Assist in the development of sales leads for the Field Sales team
Assist in product classification in support of Export Compliance
Directly manage customer accounts as needed
Business travel as required for customer visits, training, etc.
Assist in developing standard policies and procedures to support continuous improvement methods and metrics
Uses computer-based tools extensively to drive to "paperless" organization

Education and Experience Requirements
BS in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) OR
Four-year degree in a comparable field of study
3 years of related work experience
Minimum 2 years of application engineering a plus
Heavy customer interface experience preferred
Project management skills are required
Teamwork skills required
