Then Edelman's U.S. Development & Technology team may be the perfect place for you! We're seeking an extremely detail-oriented and highly motivated marketing technology specialist to dive into email marketing and data management challenges for some of our most dynamic and high-profile clients.

We're Edelman's in-house group of technical designers, user experience (UX) experts, developers and project managers who build the technology that supports our clients' communications objectives and achieves real business outcomes. We build everything from websites and mobile apps to email and marketing technology campaigns. Our work is varied, dynamic and fast-paced, and we rely on team members who can stay flexible, adaptive and strategic-minded while keeping up with the demands of our outstanding clients. Responsibilities:


    • Assisting technical team leads in understanding client needs and developing recommended technical solutions using marketing technology applications

    • Configuring marketing technology solutions according to client and team lead specifications

    • Administering marketing campaigns using marketing technology applications, including: Creating, testing and delivering email and text marketing campaigns. Configuring landing pages, webforms and other data collection tools. Administering marketing databases, including tagging and list segmentation. Reviewing campaign metrics and offering recommendations to optimize performance

    • Training clients and other Edelman team members on how to use marketing technology tools

    • Serving as the project manager for marketing technology projects, including helping develop budgets, timelines, staffing plans and contracts

    • Supporting other Development & Technology team members with web-development tasks like website content entry and quality assurance testing

Basic Qualifications:


    • At least 1-2 years of post-graduate experience in configuring and executing campaigns in marketing technology applications (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, Eloqua, MailChimp, NationBuilder, etc.)

    • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business administration, information technology or related fields

    • Demonstrated experience in data management (preferably contact-based data), including cleaning and standardizing data, de-duplicating records, importing data into CRM or other database applications

    • Demonstrated experience creating and optimizing email and text-based marketing campaigns

    • Aptitude with analyzing campaign metrics and using this data to optimize future campaigns

    • Experience with public affairs/grassroots advocacy campaigns

    • Willingness to enthusiastically support clients from a wide variety of industry sectors, including healthcare, technology and energy

    • An eagerness to support clients and colleagues with varying levels of expertise and sophistication for marketing technology

Preferred Qualifications:


    • Working knowledge of HTML and inline CSS, especially in the context of creating email marketing campaigns

    • Certification with a major marketing technology platform (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, Adobe)

    • Experience working in NationBuilder

    • Political campaign experience or work in a public affairs role

    • Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment juggling multiple deliverables with multiple stakeholders; agency experience is a plus
