Edelman is looking for a driven, earned-centric and talented communications professional to join our team as a Senior Account Executive, working in our B2B and Technology sectors. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in earned media, social media, message development, content amplification and keep a close pulse on the trends shaping the future of work, emerging technology and B2B technology sectors.

You will execute best-in-class campaigns across a diverse account mix across B2B, professional services and enterprise technology clients - from Fortune 500 to startups. You'll help to distill complex concepts into compelling stories about how technology and innovation shapes and evolves our world. You'll help our B2B clients become catalysts in helping their clients and customers achieve their reputation and commercial goals, with strategies rooted in trust and action. This role also offers the opportunity to collaborate with talented B2B, corporate storytellers and technology communications professionals across Edelman's global network.

Skills and Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of storytelling, hands-on experience in earned media, social content development and moderation, message development and event management, familiarity with media and social media analytical tools, and excellent writing skills


• Demonstrate an understanding of today's news and media landscape and the ability to think through how best to pitch a client's story to shrinking newsrooms


• Understand key client information, including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers and competitors


• Provide client service administration support; attend meetings, handle scheduling logistics, and draft agendas and recaps


• Research, compile and analyze the media landscape, pitching the right influencers and outlets to advance the reputation of our clients


• Write, edit and proofread materials including press releases, pitch letters, social copy and client correspondence


• Participate in new business process including research, audits and proposal development


• Demonstrate general knowledge of social media tools


• Commit to continuous learning through internal and external training opportunities

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree (or better) in Communication or related discipline from an accredited college or university


• 3-5 years of related experience in earned media or communications experience, ideally in the technology space


• An understanding of the role of earned, social and influencer to drive results for clients. Experience in agency considered an advantage


• Excellent writing skills across various formats and media


• Media relations experience with demonstrated relationships and results


• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is required
