  • This position will require the selected candidate to plan, develop, and conduct analyses or studies to establish the feasibility of UAS systems, subsystems, and components meeting requirements and/or adequacy of design which includes interoperability profiles and related processes.

  • Develop and evaluate recommended UAS requirements to develop Army Modernization initiatives and/or functional adequacy for current and future components, systems, and subsystems.

  • Assist with developing new equipment fielding schedules.   

  • Maintain technical liaison at an executive level to the Army Staff (G1, G2, G3, G4, and G8), the PEO Aviation, and the office of the Secretary of Defense, Tactical Warfare Systems (TWS), United States Army Aeronautical Services Agency (USAASA) and TRADOC centers and schools.

  • Provide recommendations and guidance concerning UAS fielding and Certificates of Authorization (COA) application for flights in the NAS. 

  • Provide technical recommendations and expertise to cost, source selection, and other proposal evaluation/ contracting efforts, and/or provide analysis of trade-off studies and risk assessments of competing technologies or systems.   

  • Analyze, evaluate, provide recommended revisions and/or generate for Government approval/signature draft technical documentation such as letters of agreement, memoranda of understanding, mission needs statements, operational and organizational plans, JCIDS documents, system specifications, test and evaluation master plans, and training documentation.   

  • Evaluate and provide recommendations and technical evaluations of contractor/vendor capabilities.

  • Participate in Army and Aviation enterprise planning and synchronization events.

  • Ability to maintain existing briefing packages and develop professional briefing packages with color and black and white briefing charts, photographs, and video presentations as required.  

  • Complete and submit deliverables to the customer to include monthly accomplishments, travel budget summary, and individual contractor hours billed to government.

Job Requirements:

Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree

Experience:


  • Minimum of ten (10) years related Army Aviation experience

  • Demonstrated background with Army Aviation UAS

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development Systems
Preferred Experience:


  • Army Senior UAS Warrant Officer or Commissioned Office

  • Pentagon or Army Command Experience  

Clearance Level:


  • Active Secret Security Clearance
