Summary

We are seeking experienced and motivated1st and 2nd shift Maintenance Mechanics who will support the machinery and building in our Chester Springs, PA facility. Responsibilities include but are not limited to achieving optimum production times by performing routine maintenance and repairing any or all inoperable machines including electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems in addition to performing maintenance and repairs to the facility.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements



  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Operate various hand tools in the repair of machinery & building
    • Troubleshoot machine problems and have a basic repair skill set for each system being worked on
    • Be aware and use all applicable lock out/tag out procedures for each component being worked
    • Operate various machine tools to manufacture new parts
    • Assist helpers performing duties of lesser skill by delegating job tasks, giving time constraints to all work procedures thru out the repair processes, and cleaning work areas and equipment.
    • Clean and lubricate equipment.
    • Start machines or equipment in order to begin production processes.
    • Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
    • Remove products, machine attachments, and waste material from machines.
    • Signal coworkers to direct them to move products during the repair process.
    • Measure amounts of products, lengths of articles, to ensure conformance to specifications.
    • Read gauges and charts, and record data obtained in the repair process
    • Clean work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, and products.
    • Change machine knives, using wrenches and applicable tools.
    • Travel to other divisional locations as needed, up to 25%
    • Attendance during work regular work hours and overtime as required, approved by manager.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.

    Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

    Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in machine repair or has been trained on specific machine processes including electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

    Computer Skills: Ability to be trained to learn basic computer skills, as well as to become proficient in company specific software.

    Other Requirements:Ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively.
