Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate packing machines to fill bags with dry mix products


• Stack bags in predetermined pattern when necessary


• Keeps work area clean


• Minor machine maintenance as instructed by supervisor or Maintenance Mechanic


• Uses security gear at all times and follows all safety regulations


• Reports any unsafe conditions or defective equipment to the supervisor immediately

• Other duties may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Clean-up

• Keep machinery and surrounding area clean and free of debris


• Clean machines and conveyors


• Transport trash and debris away from production areas


• Assist in keeping pallets neat and orderly

Requirements/Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience


• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instruction


• Ability to follow company production and safety procedures


• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide 10’s and 100’s


• Must be able to demonstrate lock out tag out procedures


• Must attend weekly safety meetings


• Operate a variety of hand tools


• Ability to work in a team environment or independently

Physical Environment

• While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time


• Ability to work in a dusty environment


• Ability to bend, lift, stretch over an extended period of time


• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. from ground level
