The Shipping & Receiving Specialist ensures the orderly, timely, efficient and correct flow of materials and product for selection and shipment. Core Responsibilities
Package, load/unload, ship and receive daily orders.
Maintain accurate records of all products received and shipped.
Count, weigh or measure incoming and outgoing items to.
Route, count and inspect items. Examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and report findings to supervisor.
Process orders as instructed.
Report on trends and common causes of returns.
Conduct all work assignments in compliance with required safety standards, including following all environmental, health and safety standards and procedures, including properly handling hazardous materials.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Other related duties and projects as required.
Required Skills
Able to operate automated warehouse management operating systems.
Experience using mechanical power tools and operating powered industrial vehicles (i.e. lift trucks).
Able to effectively communicate and follow instructions in oral and written form.
Knowledge of and can demonstrate a history of good safety practices.
Able to lift product and shipping packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
Able to work well within a team environment or with minimal direct management oversite.
Able to adapt and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Proficient in MicroSoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
