Job Summary:
The Systems Architect is
responsible for technical mission success, client satisfaction, and cost/schedule
performance for multiple, large, complex, Enterprise level IT-focused FMS
programs sponsored by the United States Army.
Position requires the ability to lead and manage technical resources
across multiple Enterprise level IT programs and effectively manage competing
budget and schedule priorities to ensure mission success. The systems architect should have a strong
foundational background in routing, switching, systems security, and the design
and engineering of enterprise level software systems. The systems architect
will review customer requirements and collaborate to create solutions that meet
customer requirements from infrastructure to user interface. Specific responsibilities include the
following:
Responsibilities:
Develop, design,
engineer, and assess systems Bills of Materials (BOM) for hardware and
software Enterprise IT systems in a data center environment including
public, private, and hybrid cloud, virtualized environments,
hyperconverged cloud.
Manage
a team of systems administrators, database administrators, systems
developers, network and security engineers, infrastructure engineers, and
logistics personnel.
Design, validate and ensure integration /
functionality systems, network and security, act as escalation point for
Lead Engineers for each discipline:
Design
and implement modern Enterprise IT systems and networking solutions to
support private hyperconverged infrastructure delivery
Design,
engineering, delivery of Enterprise level applications and database
systems including but not limited to Human Resource Management Systems.
Experience
with complex IT Systems, Network design, engineering and implementation –
for On Premise private infrastructure and Cloud
Data
Center routing, switching, LAN/WAN interfacing and fabrics for Enterprise
systems – Including Software defined network, SD-WAN, and Cloud
connectivity.
Integrating
private and cloud-based Server and Network infrastructure systems to
provide Enterprise level IT platforms
Troubleshooting
and resolving data center technologies including FabricPath, VDCs, and
VRFs, as well as troubleshooting routing IGP and EGP such as OSPF, EIGRP
and BGP
Possess
a strong background in IPSEC tunneling, DMVPN, and NHRP
Establishing
and operating systems staging for enterprise systems, network, and
security test and verification at various staging facilities
Responsible
for guiding a multi-disciplined teams of enterprise systems Hardware,
Software, and Test and Integration Engineers
Primary
technical interface for the program
and executive level customers including interaction with international
entities
Develop,
oversee and coordinate the cost/schedule/technical aspects of engineering projects
from initiation through customer acceptance
Identify,
track, and manage solutions to technical program risks and manage risk
mitigation activities
Support
the creation of project technical solution artifacts and documents
including scope, goals, deliverables, costs, timescales, plans,
dependencies, resource requirements and milestones and Contract
Deliverables (CDRL).
Create
and present briefings to discuss technical solutions, status, progress,
new or changed requirements and technical, program, and scheduling
problems which are critical to the accomplishment of project objectives
Maintain
and foster meaningful relationships with employees, partners, government
and foreign stakeholders
Support
any high-level strategic direction data-call requests for performance
measures, trending analysis, metrics, feasibility studies, and engineering
change requests serving program objectives
Participate
in industry and customer events, develop white papers, case studies, and
others, to assist with corporate branding efforts
Minimum Qualifications:
SECRET Clearance
Ability to travel internationally
Bachelor of Science or Equivalent
15 years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems and network engineering, including 2 years of specialized experience including:
Experience with supporting Oracle HRMS modules
Experience in implementing multiple full lifecycle HRMS, Financials and/or CRM systems
Knowledge of business applications and business process optimization, with a focus on HRMS, Financials and CRM integrated systems
Experience with SDN, NFV in Nutanix/HPE data center environment LAN/ WAN design, routing and switching through multiple security gateways, subnets, VLAN, DMZ, High Availability
Expert understanding of network fundamentals (switching, routing, firewalls), LAN/WAN technologies, the ISO later model, TCP/IP, and data communications systems and protocols including VOIP, QOS, VOIP protocols, Video distribution
Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse, local and remote--including international, team members as needed
Strong time management, decision making, multi-tasking and organization skills
Excellent customer service acumen and interpersonal relationship skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, influencing skills, and presentation skills
Excellent writing and editing skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, SharePoint preferred)
