At CCA, Business Intelligence (BI) provides key decision support to CCA executives and leadership. The BI department is led by the Senior Vice President, Business Intelligence and managed through a matrix-management environment. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with many team members to bring actionable data and insights into the broader organization. Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, this role will lead multiple BI engagements, providing oversight to product design and development instructions. Business Intelligence is the gateway to data-driven decisions and this role will help us build the evidence and rationale for important organizational programs.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree required
5+ years of experience in health insurance industry
Background in health care analytics or business intelligence
Experience working in a Matrix-Managed environment
Strong programming language skills (SQL & SAS)
Strong project management experience
Strong ability to communicate business and technical information to people of various backgrounds
Expert knowledge of care management and healthcare industry practices
Expert analytical and problem-solving skills
Initiative, work ethic, ambition, and an appetite for challenging and often unstructured assignments.
Software - Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote - SQL, SAS EG, Tableau, Looker
What You'll Be Doing
Lead small teams of BI Advisors through the full lifecycle of complex BI engagements, assigning specific project tasks and monitoring completion.
Review BI Engagement work product, ensuring it aligns with the business need and project goal
Act as a data product owner translating business needs into data projects and data projects into business implications
Consult with internal clients to identify opportunities to implement data solutions to business problems
Oversee the design of end-user reporting tools and systems - Design overall data story into clear and concise observations that meet overall business needs from reports, dashboards, and visualization paradigms
Perform other related work as assigned Supervision Exercised
Lead project teams in a matrix-managed environment comprised of 1-2 Senior Business Intelligence Advisors, and/or Business Intelligence Advisors.
