The FI Senior Credit Officer will have responsibility for conducting comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis of banks, broker-dealer, insurance, central clearing houses and sovereign counterparties.

The senior credit officer will support a number of business areas, including Global Treasury, Global Markets, Fund Finance, Custody and Network Management. The position will be a key part of FI Americas Credit team, providing a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic risk management environment.

What you will be responsible for

As Senior Credit Officer you will:


  • Provide credit and risk rating recommendations based on fundamental risk analysis  

  • Proactively monitor and report on market and other developments impacting assigned counterparties

  • Assist other team members in investigating and resolving limit exceptions, processing limit requests, etc.  

  • Assist with preparing daily/regular reports on market data for ERM Management as needed.

  • Collaborate with Credit Approvers in supporting the business areas with guideline changes, timely analytical needs and other ad-hoc requirements

  • Participate in or lead a variety of departmental risk management project as assigned.

Education & Preferred Qualifications


  • 5+ years of counterparty credit risk management in a global financial institution, or related experience, with a broad knowledge of credit and capital market products

  • MBA and/or CFA strongly preferred (or equivalent)

  • Robust understanding of capital markets and respective regulatory landscape including familiarity with global capital markets and understanding of associated risks – macro, rates, currencies, equities and bonds

  • Prior analytical experience and/or formal training in financial institution credit is strongly preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for preparing and/or reviewing credit approval requests

  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment and collaborate on time sensitive credit approval requests
