 AS A PRODUCT ENGINEER, YOU WILL: 

  • Be responsible for the engineering database (specifications, drawings, procedures) for assigned product lines.
  • Consult with and coordinate the engineering effort with customers, Marketing, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
  • Develop engineering specifications for customer special valves.
  • Oversee the design and drafting in product development, and ensures layouts, drawings and documentation are prepared in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations.
  • Generate procedures for product testing, repair and maintenance, cleaning, packaging, etc.
  • Sometimes travel, both domestic and international, will be required to visit customer and supplier facilities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 3+ years’ experience in the field or related field.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical engineering practices, standards/specs, computers, engineering software, planning, communication, presentation, facilitation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of machining methodologies and practices. 

  PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

  • Experience in design of valves (in safety valves, a plus.); demonstrated strengths in fluid dynamics; knowledge and experience in fluid flow.
  • Experience in SAP variant configuration (or ORACLE equivalent), AutoDesk Inventor vault, Teamcenter, NX.
  • Experience working with products needing ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code certification and PED certification.
