Tetra Tech invites you to consider a rewarding opportunity within our Atlanta, GA office as an Engineer Intern.

Summary:
The Engineer Intern will be assisting Tetra Tech staff with groundwater and surface water data aggregation, groundwater flow and transport model development, fracture modeling analyses, geostatistical applications, stochastic modeling applications, and coding.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of model pre- and post-processors in Octave/Matlab to asses groundwater flow and transport model results

  • Present foundations of fracture modeling to ECA staff, including examples of fracture modeling applications

  • Conduct Monte Carlo analyses of flow and transport model predictions

  • Build, utilize, and revise environmental databases

  • Employ geostatistical techniques to interpolate hydrogeological properties for input to groundwater flow and transport mode

    Requirements:


  • Candidate is pursuing or possesses a Bachelor Degree or higher in Environmental and Earth Sciences

  • Knowledge of and experience in the application of Monte Carlo methods, particularly in a groundwater flow or geological modeling context

  • Knowledge of and experience in Octave or Matlab coding program

  • Experience in groundwater flow, geological modeling, and/or fracture modeling
