Responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to lead the teams/resources that research, analyze, design and maintain information systems in support of human resources administration and projects. This dynamic, collaborative leader will have strategic responsibility for guiding the HR technology needs of the company. This leader will work collaboratively across the company to design new or modify existing systems to meet changing workplace requirements.


  • Lead development of new HR Technology Center of Expertise.

  • Seek to understand HR business functions and processes. Provide guidance in all aspects of HR technology management to support business and talent needs companywide.

  • Partner with HR, IT and business project sponsors to lead HR related technology projects. Includes defining scope, creating project plans, setting objectives, deliverables, considering dependencies, resource requirements schedules, budgets and timelines.

  • Manage resources (i.e. team and/or vendor relationships) to accomplish objectives. This may include performance management of employees and/or adherence to service level agreement objectives for strategic partners.

  • Lead and/or participate in technology projects to include business case development, project planning and management, requirements gathering, functional specification documentation, solution design, test planning, test execution, status updates, deployment, and post-deployment support.

  • Partner with decision-makers, external consultants and end users to recommend optimal business processes relative to standard functionality.

  • Lead site implementations across client's business units which includes pilot/acceptance testing, data validation, development of data transformation, establishing rules and governance procedures and post implementation support.

  • Ensure projects are managed against the requirements of scope of work and manage applicable change control process. Support project governance structure for projects and/or large work streams including project leadership, project update process/cadence and escalates critical decisions to reach stakeholders. Drive and monitor escalations up and down program and project governance paths.

  • Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness and continuous process improvement.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, HR related program and/or IT/Computer Science or equivalent work experience in related job function

  • Familiarity with project management approaches and project lifecycles

  • Experience managing multi-phase, complex projects including; defining project scope and budget, creating project plans, creating cutover/go-live plans, managing project resources, issue resolution, and status reporting and project analytics

  • Ability to translate complicated project concepts (milestones, risks, desired outcomes, decision options, etc.) into concise observations and recommendations

  • Hands-on experience participating in software implementation of cloud-based systems (i.e. Workday, Oracle, SAP, Ultimate, etc.)

  • Ability to interface with multiple teams and translate business requirements into technical specifications

  • Ability to travel ~ 10-15%

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 7 to 10 years' work experience in HR focused technology-based roles (i.e. HRIS project work, HR system transformation, Automated Tracking System implementation, or similar, etc.)

  • Demonstrated consultative approach in working across the organization.

  • Project manager certification (i.e. PMP or similar)

  • Experience leading cloud-based HCM integration project

  • Strong functional HR process and practical acumen and technical aptitude

  • Expert knowledge of HR data structure, tables, reporting and interfaces and conversions
