Job Description:


Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Warehouse Supervisor (Temporary) on a Government contract with a place of performance at Fort Bliss, TX

This project is estimated with a probable duration of June 2021.

Position Responsibilities:


  • Performs as the Warehouse Supervisor, utilizing Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A) Regulations/Policies, related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Maintain operations for an SSA in support of the Logistic Readiness Center (LRC) and Logistics contractor operated mission, Fort Bliss, Texas.
  • Comply with environmental Laws/Regulations, comply with Army Regulations/Policies and Global Combat Support System -GCSS-Army Regulations/Policies, related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Responsible for daily stock control functions and maintaining communication with all SSAs and higher.
  • Performs as supervisor for all aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to a depot level, or installation level supply activity. Work usually covers multiple classes of supply and must be capable of dealing in many commodity areas.
  • Management is based in terms of priority completions, with concentration focused on the current and long term evaluation of the customer support mission, separate departmental managerial difficulties, and the complexity of performing in budget with limited manpower resources.
  • Understands that the amount of responsibility delegation that is appropriate for each segment functional areas is constantly reevaluated based on mission completions and positive customer feedback. The work generally involves multiple case problems or supply actions resolution in a timely manner. This work may require consideration of several program requirements, together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines, based on mission completion goals and objectives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:


  • US Citizen
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and background checks related to the position
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance to perform duties and attend classified meeting and briefings, this is a minimum requirement as the senior supply operations supervisor
  • Preferred a Bachelor or higher degree in business, management, logistics or the equivalent civilian/military service schools graduations or prior supervisory experience (normally 8 plus years) to verify the abilities and competence required to perform in a wide scope of supply related task.
  • The ideal candidate must be extremely customer focused and capable of long range planning, analysis, and the ability to understand budgetary constraints while processing the following additional requirements traits.
  • A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
  • An understanding of the needs of the organizations serviced and their overall mission completion concerns.
  • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to quickly research and collect the necessary data, to establish the applicable facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of systematic established guidelines.
  • Must have several years of experience in and with military supply and logistics systems at the Brigade or above levels.
  • Demonstrated knowledge to operate and perform required duties using US Army Logistics Information Systems (LIS) and computer automation equipment.

  • Performs some duties in a high stress office environment based on mental abilities and decision making with very little actual physical effort required.
  • Performs considerable amounts of duties in a warehouse or storage yard under the below listed working conditions.
  • Must be capable of multiple tasking and organizing work force to perform missions that may require the supervisor to do a limited physical demonstrative example of tasks required to complete the mission.
  • Is required to consistently perform duties in a warehouse or storage yard or in field or storage area consisting of dusty, dirty and possible hazardous materials exposure.
