Highlights:
General Description:
A community-based Mental Health Therapist provides individual, family, and group therapy to children, adults, and families in the community. They may also provide case management and consultation with PCPs, schools, DHS Child Welfare and Self Sufficiency programs, and other community partners. Community-based Mental Health Therapists are usually working with higher intensity acute clients. Some evening and weekend hours will be required. Eligible clients may be self-referred or referred by schools, County Mental Health, DHS Child Welfare and Self Sufficiency, or the client’s PCP. The majority of our clients use the Oregon Health Plan, but we do accept some private insurance. Authorization for services may be required from the Coordinated Care Office (CCO) or another payer source.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s or doctorate degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field. Must be able to qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and be eligible for licensure. Knowledge and/or experience providing mental health services, including assessment and diagnosis, to children, families and adults. Must be computer proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and record keeping software preferred. Must have respectful, open, accepting attitude toward clients and their families.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of parenting skills/techniques and child development, and experience working with disadvantaged individuals and high-risk families, including work with incest, sexual abuse, drug and alcohol abuse, and domestic violence and trauma. Strong understanding of available community resources and supports.

Working Conditions:
* Positions that require driving clients must maintain vehicle insurance as required by law, with a minimum of $100,000/$300,000/$100,000 personal auto liability coverage (proof of insurance will be required)
Salary: $51,000.00
