Box-Truck Driver (No CDL Required) - Kearney Warehouse (Stapleton & Holly) at Goodwill of Colorado

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Drives a single vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of no more than 26,000 pounds. Cannot transport 16 or more passengers or hazardous materials in vehicle.

  • Inspects equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, accurate fuel card, and water before making trips. Reports any problems or safety issues to their Manager, and marks on pre-trip inspection forms.

  • Picks up items from donation centers and stores. Supplies empty equipment to the donation centers. Picks up new goods when needed and deliver them to assigned stores.

  • Assists in the loading and unloading of trucks on the dock, donation centers and at the stores.

  • Obeys road signs and symbols, traffic laws, appropriate use of lights, weight and height limits of vehicle, and speed limits. Speed should be consistent with existing road, traffic and weather conditions.

  • Builds and maintains effective quality working relationships with management, co-workers, customers and donors. Treats everyone with dignity and respect. Immediately advises supervisor of significant and unexpected problems. Promotes and demonstrates teamwork and cooperation.

  • Completes assignments and paperwork accurately and turns in daily.

  • Safeguards all Goodwill property including donated goods. Reports any suspicious behavior, incidents of theft or unauthorized possession/removal of Goodwill property.

  • Follows all Goodwill policies and procedures. Follows safety rules and regulations. Acts safely at all times.

  • Supports the best elements of our corporate culture while making culture change. Open to and supportive of new ideas and process improvement of systems and procedures.

  • Works flexible schedules, overtime, weekends, evenings and holidays if required.

  • Drives on company business.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation: Minimum Pay starts at $16.00 per hour.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must possess a current Colorado Class R  driver’s license.  Ability to be insured by organization’s insurance carrier.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical – Very Heavy Work:  Lifting and Carrying objects weighing 30 pounds constantly, 40 pounds frequently, and  50 pounds occasionally to raise objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to- position requiring the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles . Pushing and Pulling:   Using upper extremities to exert force in order to push, pull, draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion exerting 50 pounds of force constantly, 75 pounds of force frequently, and 100 pounds of force occasionally.
