POSITION OVERVIEW - Principal Solution Marketing Manager - Validation - Semiconductor

The Solution Marketer - Semiconductor role is a critical role to defining and executing go-to-market strategies for NI's thriving semiconductor business unit. Solution marketers accelerate business results by distilling and evangelizing technology trends, competitive positioning, and value propositions to NI customers and sales and marketing colleagues. The position will be focised around mixed signal validation solutions for the semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor key semiconductor technology trends affecting cutting-edge applications, such as 5G wireless communications, mixed signal IC, and MEMS capabilities.


  • Collaborate with Semiconductor Business Unit Offering Managers to define and execute go-to-market strategy for NI semiconductor validation solutions.


  • Define and communicate the value proposition for NI solutions


  • Build relevant technical marketing content, including white papers, case studies, videos, brochures, product demonstrations, industry tradeshow presentations, and online media


  • Develop sales enablement assets aligned to phases of the customer buying process

  • Establish punditry at industry events and customer conferences

  • Collaborate with NI Semiconductor business development managers and salespeople to support sales engagements and then apply lessons learned to broad sales enablement materials


  • Track and document customer successes for promotional purposes and track lost opportunities for corrections to marketing strategy


  • Effectively communicate with both highly-technical customer roles (e.g. Lead/Architect-level Design Engineers and Test Engineers) and executive-level business leaders (e.g. Director/VP of Product Line, Director/VP of Operations, etc.)


  • Train salespeople and other internal functions on the key semiconductor test trends and key needs, challenges, and decision drivers of the target buyers
  • Key Performance Objectives


  • Contribute to strong, profitable growth - Monitor and react to fluctuations in long-term opportunity pipeline with corrective actions to marketing strategy.


  • Define strategic marketing priorities - Asses and prioritize effective marketing and advertising activities for target market spaces.


  • Build a customer-focused culture - Regularly seek and share feedback. Implement initiatives to act on that feedback and provide a competitive edge through positioning and go-to-market strategy. Celebrate important customer wins and offering successes.

  • Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • 5 years experience in product marketing, product management, product planning, or related role

  • Experience with mixed signal validation or product level reliability

  • Experience in a global and multinational technology company

  • Experience leading and executing product launches or other product marketing activities

  • Customer-facing communication or technical writing experience

  • Willingness to travel up to 20%, including international travel
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical aptitude and curiosity for developing deep domain expertise

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and result driven

  • Strong cross-functional team leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
