Dematic Corp. has a need for a Mechanic 1 in our Salt Lake City, UT manufacturing location. This position will perform the mechanical assembly of both sub-assemblies and final product. Assists in the loading and shipping processes involved with the final product in a very clean, well-lit, and air-conditioned facility.

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

- High school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of one year practical mechanical assembly experience.

- Interprets blueprints and schematics, recommending engineering changes as necessary.

- Performs mechanical tasks associated with both sub-assemblies and final product in preparation for product testing.

ADDITIONAL CORE REQUIREMENTS:

- Operates forklifts and or cranes as required by assignment.
- Prepares and loads final product for shipment.
- Must be able to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding and the like with agility to maximum heights of 120 ft.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and or 25 pounds frequently.
- Performs work in areas subject to such hazards as moving mechanical parts, electrical current and or chemicals.
