Overview - Operation of the heat treatment furnace equipment in producing glass for architectural glazing products which meets project specifications.  This is a 2nd shift position.  Pay for the role is $16-$17.50 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Maintain a safe working environment and keep work areas clean and organized


• Follow current training instructions to safety produce quality product and maintain equipment


• Verify process output is within specified quality limits


• Executes, interprets, records, and properly responds to inspection and test results


• Responsible for isolating and/or rejecting materials out of specification


• Assures transactions (i.e. production, product rejects, inventory, work hours, etc.) are accurately recorded


• Assists the Department Lead in shift preparation, directing personnel, and shut-down/hand-off at end of shift


• Ensure all process equipment is maintained to accepted standards

Requirements

• Experience operating equipment in a manufacturing setting, or similar responsibilities.


• Good math and computer interface skills.


• Good communication and organization skills.


• Strong interpretation and decision-making skills.


• Good time-management skills; able to think ahead while completing the tasks at hand.


• Stable personality to confidently direct co-workers with respect.

Preferences

• Demonstrated leadership ability or potential.


• Mechanical aptitude.


• Experience in process improvement.
