Job Summary:

The supervisor performs and monitors work in all shipping areas and RGP Manufacturing.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:


  • Maintain constant workflow in shipping areas

  • Coordinate lens orders and RGP material orders submitted by customer service.

  • Generate contact lens work orders for CRT and China shipping

  • Open communication and feedback with customer service, accounting and manufacturing departments.

  • Understand and adhere to specified Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), complying with FDA requirements and ISO standards.

  • Oversee Weekly cycle count inventory in CRT, China, and RGP.

  • Coordinate shipment of completed orders to various Paragon customers.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility.

  • Train all new hires in Shipping Department and maintain training logs

  • Understand procedures and processes in RGP Shipping, CRT Shipping, and China Shipping.

  • Monitor Open Orders and communicate progress

  • Primary back up to the Shipping Manager

  • Ordering of kits and inventory of completed kits

  • Investigate all shipping errors and complete resolution

  • Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity as well as the execution of these improvements.

  • Display high knowledge of Dynamics 365 and have ability to troubleshoot in all areas

  • As business needs dictate, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Computer systems knowledge

  • Ability to problem solve

  • An understanding of team building and working with people

  • Attention to detail

  • Requires capability to perform physical/auditory & visual demands such as walking, standing and carrying boxes, and lifting up to 25 pounds on a regular basis

Work Environment:


  • Job position requires the ability to stand for up to 10 hours continuously.

  • Work environment is in a manufacturing facility in the distribution center/room with moderate noise level.  

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, crouch and use the hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

  • Successful performance requires specific vision abilities that include close vision.

Experience:


  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience required

  • Requires warehousing or manufacturing environment experience

Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
