Position: Deman - Warehouse

Job Description:

Forward Air is seeking capable and career-oriented individuals to work in our fast-paced operation. Our Deman move home appliances within the warehouse to demanufacture. This person will also stage demanfactured appliances in a trailer or on a truck to be hauled away to a recycler.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Demanufacture haul away appliances
• Load scrap trailer
• Prepare bill of lading (BOL) for all outbound scrap appliances
• Move home appliances within the warehouse
• Ensure warehouse duties are being done as directed (cardboard, styrofoam, demanufacture etc...)
• Ability to work well without direct supervision, maintain a professional demeanor
• Maintain and promote a safe work environment, follow equipment safety process and procedures
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to ninety (90) pounds
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned

• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime as needed
• Forklift and general freight handling knowledge is a plus
• General computer skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook, AS400
• Must be 18 or older
