Network Maintenance Support Technician position is responsible for maintenance the Rise Broadband's large wireless/wired Internet Service Provider (ISP) network. This will be accomplished by keeping all devices up to current standards ensuring Company's network is tuned for optimum performance. The Network Maintenance Support Technician will proactively address issues concerning direct and indirect impact on customers by partnering with the field, engineering, dispatch and contact center teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure network device are operating at top performance and company standards by:
Examine network elements and perform maintenance to bring firmware to current versions
Review and troubleshoot issues on the network through research and resources such as trouble calls, customer tickets, network reporting, network monitoring systems(NMS), and any other additional avenues to help identify and further resolve network issues
Evaluate network elements to ensure the configurations are proper and support optimal performance and capacities
Monitor Access Points to ensure that subscriber modules are not impeding performance due to poor signal and other sub-engineering standards
Keep Access Point capacity at optimum by utilizing load planning via Reload management. Will help organize and manage reloads within the network to ensure reloads are accounted for and complete
CBRS: will assist with the adding, removing, and troubleshooting of CBRS customers from the SAS server via CnMaestro.
Stay up to date with current network processes and procedures
Take part in frequency optimization work and efforts in regards to Access Points and Backhauls
Create and maintain network and job procedure documentation
Provide next tier support to the Company's technicians
Communicate and liaise with all other Company departments; notify appropriate parties immediately of any issues which may affect efficient operations including, but not limited to centralized and field engineering teams, dispatch and contact center
Work requires weekend and/or evening work, overnight shifts and extended shifts during maintenance windows

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Solid knowledge Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and other job related software
One (1) year+ of experience of wired and wireless network troubleshooting
Solid knowledge of data communication concepts and technologies
Will need to become CBRS certified within 90 days of hire

Basic ability to implement network STANDARDS best practices
Basic knowledge of L2 switching and spanning tree technologies
Proficient with Network Management Systems (NMS) and monitoring applications
Customer service oriented with passion for high customer satisfaction and achieving operational excellence; ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management, internal and external customers
Must be able to demonstrate attention to accuracy on all duties and responsibilities
Ability to analyze and define problems, prioritize work flow, multitask, meet deadlines and remain flexible
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Must comply with Company and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) established safety policies and requirements
Physical Demands and Working Environment
Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee is constantly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. On a constant basis, the incumbent must safely lift, carry and maneuver heavy or awkward objects sixty (60) pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Full spectrum color vision required.
Work environment: Must be able to work safely in a field environment. Must be adept at working in adverse weather conditions. Frequent work in an office environment.
Daily travel within the Company's geographical footprint and external destinations may be required.
