Stipend Counselor at University of Oklahoma

Job Description:

The Oklahoma Registry Certificate of Achievement Stipend Program Counselor is responsible for implementing the Oklahoma Registry Certificate of Achievement Stipend Program for child care providers in Oklahoma that work in DHS licensed child care facilities. The position is also responsible for helping with coding/data entry for the Oklahoma Registry. Occasional travel will be required. The Oklahoma Registry Certificate of Achievement Stipend Program Counselor reports to the Project Lead.

Required Education: Bachelor Degree OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:


  • 6-12 months of experience in office/clerical setting

Skills:


  • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English

  • Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instruction

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines

Certifications: None 

·Advertised Physical Requirements:

·         Ability to engage in repetitive motions, grasp objects with fingers or hands, and grasp objects with fingers or hands. Ability to speak, including expressing oneself or exchanging information with others. Ability to see, including color, depth perception and clarity. Ability to lift 30 pounds. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to work effectively with frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines, busy periods and a high volume of public contact

 Preferences:


  • Bachelors degree in early childhood education, child development and family relations

  • Experience in Professional Development Systems and/or Stipend Programs

  • Knowledge of Oklahoma Child Care Licensing Requirements

  • Knowledge of Oklahoma Professional Development Registry

  • Knowledge of Oklahoma Reaching for the Stars Program

Supervision: No Supervisory Duties
