The DDU Runner will assemble set ups for several departments, process DDU parcels sacks, load completed containers and perform final QC check before parcels/mail leaves the terminal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assemble set-ups for DDU sort frames, staging areas, New Ops stations and any additional production floor departments
Process DDU parcel sacks by performing QC check on the contents/sack label
Scan the sack label to link it to the correct container
Stroke count the sack to the correct container
Stage container for dispatch
Load the completed containers to the proper tour, prior to scheduled departure time; dispatch drivers
Assist in all areas of production where necessary, e.g., DDU sack sort

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School or equivalent training and/or least 6 months related experience preferred
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
Ability to read, write speak English
Understand and carry out oral instructions; read and carry out written instructions; read and verify zip code numbers
Understand standardized math processes, e.g., addition and subtraction
Train other workers; and work as a member of a team and under close supervision
Works under pressure, works rapidly for long periods and works on several tasks at the same time
Simple rules and detailed instructions, work is repetitive in nature
Contacts other departments or people on routine affairs, exchanging necessary information on a service or cooperative basis
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequently stand, walk, squat, reach overhead, bend or kneel
Frequently push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs (additional weight may be required with assistance)
Sitting, less than 25% of work shift
This is an office and warehouse environment where frequently this position will be exposed to cold, hot and changing temperatures; will frequently experience noise at medium level not damaging or loud enough to require protective equipment; will frequently be exposed to dust, dirt and changes in lighting
