HORNE is seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Services Manager for HORNE Capital in our Public & Middle Market focus area. This position can be located in Ridgeland, MS, Austin, TX, Houston, TX, Baton Rouge, LA, Mobile, AL, Decatur, AL, Memphis, TN, or Nashville, TN, with the ability to work remotely. The Mergers and Acquisitions Services Manager will work with company leadership to provide buy-side advisory services, sell-side advisory services, and other financial services.
Required Experience and Education:
Four (4) to seven (7) years of experience providing transaction advisory services, audit services, or other relevant experience required
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required
Experienced with production of Quality of Earnings Reports and due diligence preferred
Must have knowledge of applicable technology or have the ability to learn technology
Must have advanced knowledge of MS Office applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Depending on location, a moderate amount of travel will be required
Job Requirements:
Work with client leadership to perform financial due diligence for acquiring businesses and obtaining pertinent information for financial analysis
Prepares detailed financial analysis to help clients evaluate their acquisition decisions and financing requirements
Participate in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements with both private equity and strategic corporate buyers
Understand and evaluate financial and operational trends of target companies
Assist in preparing proposals and engagement letters
Interact with other functional areas of the practice including tax, audit, and other consulting practices
Manage and track multiple projects concurrently and communicate due diligence findings in a formal report
Write detailed reports and perform complex analyses, including the analysis of cash flows, quality of assets and earnings, working capital, potential liabilities and risks, and the impact of findings on the purchase price of the target organization
Other Responsibilities:
Participates in Firm’s practice development efforts including expanding services to clients.
Understands the Firm’s business on a day to day basis
Assumes individual responsibility to learn all new technology introduced by the Firm as appropriate for service/practice area
